People ask me for journalism advice all the time. Almost every written mailbag I do has a questions or two about blanket journalism advice, and those messages trickle through other platforms — Patreon, social media, email — as well.
I sympathize with all the questions, but feel terrible about not being able to respond to everyone, or better yet, give a perfectly nuanced response to even one person. The truth is, you can’t give the same journalism advice to everyone. There is so much nuance to a person’s career arc, and depending on your goals and progress, you will need to hear different things at different times in your life.
That’s why I’ve set up the Kiyan Sobhani Mentorship Program. I want to help coach you, one-on-one, so that you can achieve your goals. I’ve made plenty of mistakes during my journalism career, and I want you to avoid those mistakes. I’m going to accelerate your learning curve and get you where you need to be.
If you’re interested in six sessions, and access to me through Whatsapp, send me an e-mail and we’ll get started.
